Feature Segment: The Bandit Charity Art Show

The Bandit on Bricks & The Bandits Mask

The Bandits show description.

The show features art done with spray paint and stencils on found objects. It is a very intimate and beautiful show. At the moment there are over 20 pieces. Each piece is $40 and once sold the new owner will be able to take them home immediately and the piece will be replaced. So, like the art you find on the streets this exhibition will always be changing. Here one day, gone the next. As the show continues and as pieces sell I will be making more. All the proceeds from the show will be donated to Kids With Cancer on behalf of the Paint Spot and myself.

Feature Segment: The Bandit Charity Art Show

The Bandit currently has pieces on display and for purchase (with all proceeds going being donated to Kids With Caner) at The Paint Spot on Whyte. The Bandit has taken their beloved image and reworked it into interesting pieces that either recreate the experience of seeing their work on the streets or present the image in a new medium. The detail in many of the pieces and some of the objects used were truly astounding. This show has been incredibly popular and undoubted success on many accounts. Just a few days after being notified of the show many pieces had already been selected with great enthusiasm, all for the benefit of charity. Another indication of its success was how staff members spoke of The Bandit and thier approach to street art. There was great appreciation for The Bandits efforts for charity and some made comments on how this had helped inform their opions and change their perspective on street art Edmonton. This show continues to cement The Bandit’s position as a street artist who is not only committed to progressing the style of their art form but also using their art to benefit of the communities in which it exists. The images Bellow is a description of the show.
